Soroptimists of the Americas Convention

The 48th Biennial Convention of Soroptimist International of the Americas was an unforgettable experience! Held from July 24-27, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Seattle’s Eastside in Bellevue, Washington, Soroptimists from around the globe gathered to celebrate and empower women and girls through education and training. The theme, “Reach New Heights,” truly inspired and invigorated every participant as we came together in the vibrant city of Bellevue.

In the photo above, you’ll see four women who were part of the Soroptimists Together Against Trafficking collaboration. From left to right, we have Dawn Marie Lemonds from the Newport Harbor Club, Terri Daxon from the Brea-La Haba Club, Terry Rose from the Huntington Beach Club, and Susan Gilbey of the Westminster Club. These dedicated Soroptimists have been working tirelessly to combat human trafficking and support the economic empowerment of women and girls.

The convention was a monumental success, providing an opportunity to connect with fellow Soroptimists, share ideas, and participate in dynamic programs designed to elevate our collective impact. They celebrated our achievements, learned from one another, and reinforced our mission to provide women and girls with the tools they need to thrive.
